This internship under author, illustrator, and SUNY New Paltz professor Andrea Kantrowitz introduced me to the complex and dedicated processes of book design.
I designed all page spreads and developed 3 custom typefaces (based on her personal handwriting) for use throughout the publication. I also defined the book’s visual style guide and ensured that each layout was interesting, consistent, and legible. As well as copy-editing work and some social media promotion. Check out the paperback on the MIT Press Bookstore or Amazon.
